History
Similar to the Balinese. Named for the island of Java, Javanese are as old as Balinese Cats. Breeders using the Balinese and Colourpoint Shorthair Cats to come up with these colors and patterns. The Javanese Cats were accepted by C for the first time in a competition in May 1986. For standard description see the Balinese Cats but with different color types.
Type and characteristics
Coat
The coat is of medium length, luxurious silk of the Balinese coat, closed to the body. The hair is so longest at the tail.

Body, neck, legs and tail
The body is of medium size, long and slim, muscular. The neck long and slim. The male somewhat larger than the female. Hind legs higher than front, proportional. The tail like a plume and bone structure is long, thin, tapering to a fine point.
Head
The head is of medium size and long, proportional.
Eyes
The eyes are oval shaped and of medium size.
Ears
The ears form a triangle, are large, pointed, and wide at base.
Temperament
This is a friendly breed and a perfect pet. You need a lot of time for this cat. The cat is intelligent and has a sweet disposition. It loves human company and gets well along with other animals.
