The following chart represents a great simplification and lists only the most common conditions and symptoms. Most of these conditions demand veterinary attention in which the vet considers the overall clinical picture presented by the patient. It should therefor be used with extreme caution and in no way be viewed as a substitute for veterinary consultation.

= Common symptoms that usually occurs but is not decisive on its own.

= Major symptoms that almost always occurs with this particular condition, and is highly & NBSP significant.

= Not significant in this condition.
